Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.
HP Recommended
HP OfficeJet Pro 6970
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just purchased this printer and am trying to understand what the front usb port is used for.  I am hoping that it can be used to store scans, but when I plug in a usb drive, it says that it isn't supported.  Is it not used that way, or do I need to purchase a certain one?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Phil

According to this spec: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05061732

The product can only read memory devices that have been formatted using the FAT, FAT32, or EX-FAT file system.

HP has fully tested the following USB flash drives with the printer:
  1. SanDisk Cruzer Contour 16 GB
  2. Transcend 8 GB USB 3.0 SUPER SPEED
  3. Kingston DataTraveler II USB 3.0 32 GB
  4. Lexar JumpDrive 2.0 Pro (2 GB)
  5. Sony Micro Vault USM128EL 128 MB

   NOTE:

You might be able to use other USB flash drives with the printer. However, HP cannot guarantee that they work correctly with the printer because they have not been fully tested.
