Hi @winterfitz,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The HP OfficeJet Pro 8030 series is a line of all-in-one inkjet printers that typically come with scanning capabilities. To scan multiple pages and save them as separate documents, you can follow these general steps.

  • Prepare Your Documents: Organize the pages you want to scan and make sure they are properly aligned and in the correct order.
  • Place the Documents: Lift the scanner lid of your HP OfficeJet Pro 8030 and place the first page face-down on the scanner glass or in the automatic document feeder (ADF), depending on the model. If using the ADF, make sure to adjust the paper guides to fit the size of your document.
  • Start Scanning: On the printer's control panel or through the HP printer software on your computer, initiate the scan process. This might involve selecting a "Scan" or "Copy" option.
  • Choose Scan Settings: Configure your scan settings. You should look for options like scan type (color or black and white), resolution, and file format (usually PDF is a good choice for multi-page documents).
  • Scan the Page: Press the scan button to capture the first page. If you're using the ADF, the scanner will automatically advance to the next page.
  • Continue Scanning: If you're using the scanner glass, lift the lid, remove the first page, place the next page, and press the scan button again. If you're using the ADF, it should automatically advance to the next page. Repeat this step for each page.
  • Review and Save: After scanning all the pages, you may have the option to review the scanned documents on your computer. Check to ensure everything is in the correct order and quality.
  • Save as Separate Documents: In most scanning software, you can choose to save the scanned pages as separate documents. This option may be labeled as "Save as separate files" or something similar.
  • Name and Save: Give each document a name and specify the destination folder where you want to save the scanned files. Click "Save" or "Finish" to complete the process.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hello,

thank you for the reply.  The issue i'm having is I don't see where in the HP Scanning Software the option for "Save as separate documents" or something similar to that.
