HP Officejet Pro 8500A e-All-in-One Printer - A910a
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HTTPS support for fax protocol at support site of CM755A  is no longer supported. Invalid certificate or TLS Version
I get with all browsers SEC_ERROR_REUSED_ISSUER_AND_SERIAL, but can not find a wrong certificate.
May be the actual TLS version 1.2 is not supported.

Hi @Rschnauzer ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're experiencing issues with fax protocol support on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 A910 printer, particularly regarding HTTPS support and TLS versions.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

  • Check Firmware Updates: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates include fixes for compatibility issues with newer protocols or certificates. Update the firmware on an HP printer
  • Check System Requirements: Verify that your operating system meets the requirements for the printer's HTTPS support. Since you're using Windows 10, it should generally be compatible, but ensuring it's fully updated can help.
  • Verify Browser Settings: Make sure your browser is configured correctly. Sometimes, browser settings can interfere with HTTPS connections. Ensure that your browser is not blocking any necessary protocols or certificates.
  • Check TLS Settings: Since you suspect that TLS version 1.2 might not be supported, check the TLS settings on both your printer and your computer. Ensure that TLS 1.2 is enabled and configured correctly on both devices.

Thanks for your reply.

But you misinterpreted the problem.
faxing works perfect, but i am not able to open the fax protocol of the printer.
If I open the printer site,

- select fax,
- select faxprotocoll,

- I get http not secure use https
- using https I got the error in Browser Firefox, EDGE and on Android Samsung internet browser.
In Android I get the message:
