HP OfficeJet Pro 9020 - scan to computer

Hi,

I've been trying to set up "scan to computer" on my new 9020 to my imac and when i select Webscan in the HP smart app im met with the prompt "You cannot use this function because it has been disabled. For more information, contact the person who set up the printer" and since i'm the one that set up this printer, i'm a bit confused. I've factory reset everything and started again and still the same.

There are threads from early last year in 2019 that say that its not available however i would hope that being as its August 2020 that HP would have finally update the drivers to include this feature on the Mac.

Can you please assist me in setting this up otherwise i will need to return the unit for a full functioning and mac compatible unit.

Hi,

Scan to Computer is only supported on Windows PCs, not on macOS.

You may scan from HP Smart from macOS.

You may use other features to scan from the front panel to a macOS computer

for a network connection.

Another option would be setting up scanning to Email or a Shared folder.

I dont think this is an acceptable for a peripheral that is marketed as Mac compatible. It should advise limited compatibility to Mac. 

I've tried to set up scan to shared file and it doesnt accept the file path. Can you please advise how the address is suppose to look like as all i get is "invalid path"
