HP OfficeJet 150 Mobile All-in-One
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I need help with my HP Officejet 150 All-In-One Mobile printer/scanner/copier connected via USB cable. The scanning function will not work with the HP full software package (which I downloaded and successfully installed). I also downloaded and installed the Printer Scanner Doctor program from HP and it diagnosed the problem as the HP scanner driver on my computer cannot communicate with my Officejet 150 . It told me to unplug the scanner and let sit 15 seconds and reconnect, restart computer, et cetera, which I did repeatedly but to no avail. The printing feature works fine via Microsoft Word. Copying feature is not working well (gives horrible print quality - print quality via Microsoft Word is fantastic). I further used the Toolbox with HP and did multiple head cleanings and alignments, all of which gave me bad results, yet when I printed through Microsoft Word it was fantastic! And I also took out the ink cartriges and reinstalled them also - they have plenty of ink both. So, my conclusion is that the HP software bundle has some foul bugs in it  - that it is corrupt software. What else can be concluded when printing through Word works great, while copying via HP is bad quality and scanning won't work at all? In the past, on a previous laptop, I used Acrobat to do scanning with this HP Officejet 150, and that worked great till that laptop died and I had to get another one (bye bye Acrobat, I can't put it on this computer yet). I remember that I never could get my other computer to scan with HP software then either - only via Acrobat! So I think there has been trouble with HP scanner software for this model for a long long time. Now, I really desperately need to do some scanning, and can't. I am very frustrated. Any help anyone?

Hi @Morrissey1

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the scanning issue.

Try these steps to perform a root level re-install -

1. In the search box, type and open "Uninstall a Program".

2. Look for HP Printer software.

3. Right-click to uninstall.

4. In the search box, type and open “Devices and printers”.

5. In the Devices and Printers, look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose “Delete” or “Remove Device”.

6. Open the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7. Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”).

8. Click on the "Drivers" tab.

9. Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click “Remove” at the bottom.

10. Select Ok.

11. Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows.

12. Close Devices and Printers Once the software and drivers are removed.

13. Restart the computer.

14. Download and install the software and drivers from here for Windows 10 (64-bit).

15. Click on the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
