I have an old HP Officejet 4315v All-In-One-Printer that I now want to use for scanning, but when I hit the scan button it says "No Scan Options".  After reading the manual it says that I need HP Photosmart (windows) installed and running prior to trying to scan.  I do not have HP Photosmart on my computer.  I am looking for where I can download this software that will work for this printer. I have tried several sites but they are convoluted to understand and I am not sure they are the appropriate ones for my printer.  Not sure if the HP Photosmart is my only problem as to why I am not able to scan, but it is my first troubleshooting step.  Any information on where to find this software or what other problems may be causing my issue would be greatly appreciated.
