HP Officejet Pro 6970 vs 8600

My previous Printer was a Officejet 8600 pro plus. It was possible to setup my personal mailserver and scan to email with 2 sided originals.

On the new printer 6970 pro, it seems like the only way to use ADF with Duplex is via PC App. Scan to email is emailing via hp Mailserver and no way to use duplex there... 

Also iPhone Mobile App is not allowing to scan duplex.

I‘ve found other posts here pointing to same Problem but without real Solution.

For me this is a Reason to get another printer. I want a Printer where i can sent double sided scans and faxes directly from Printer Display. Is there any HP officejet Product supporting this? A lot of HP Products mention Duplex ADF, but now i‘m unsure if any of them is really fully supporting this.

Otherwise i think i need to start searching for different brand, even as i‘m using HP since 20 years.

The 8600 was a premium series.

I had an HP OfficeJet Pro 8630 for a long time - excellent product and it still worked when I donated it a couple of years ago.

To match that performance and the options, you'll need to spend the money to get another printer of this class.

The HP OfficeJet Pro 9025 is another premium product.

Single pass 2-sided scanning.

Digital send options (Supports smtp)

I've had the 9025 since it came out in 2019 - lovely printer in my opinion.

Don't take a stranger's word for this - this series is on the more expensive side for an OfficeJet Pro printer - do take the time to explore this and other printer options at the Store/HP.com .
