HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One Printer - N911g
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Staring from beginning of June 2022, the function scan to email doesn't work anymore. I tried to reinstall in the printer setup user and password of my **bleep** account but I still get the message "wrong credentials" even if user and password are correct. All other settings (**bleep** server smtp, port etc.) are correct.  Until May 2022 everything was working perfectly but I didn't change anything both on PC or printer side. Many thanks for your support. Best regards. Giovanni

Hi,

Do you refer to **bleep**? (G-mail)

A such may occur due to your Google account security settings, which was changed in end of may to no longer support Less Secure Apps access..

First, open the following link and login to the same account as you set for the printer.
https://myaccount.google.com/security

Within the Signing in to Google section, be sure to turn on "2-Step Verification":

https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185839?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid

Next, create and use an App-Specific Password with the printer:
https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833?hl=en

Once completing the changes update the outgoing email profile password to use the App Specific Password and then click Save and Test to ensure the problem has been resolved.
