HP Pagewide Pro 477dw Latest Firmware Issue Scanning to Email

We have a business which has many PageWide Pro 477dw printers, of the ones that have updated to the recently released firmware version MAVEDWPP1N001.2127A.00 we are presented with a Scan to Email issue within the user interface.

See From Field "debug_msg"

When a user attempts to send email an error presents "Sender email address is rejected by the server"

I have double checked the settings via the web interface and all appears as normal and a test Scan to Email works flawlessly.

Is there anyway to downgrade the firmware or have this bug resolved as we do not have this issue on printers that have not been updated to this firmware yet.

Same problem here after this firmware-update...

My solution was to add a sender-profile in the e-mail-settings:

After adding the profile, everything works fine again. The user now has some inconvenience because he must select a profile before sending...

Thanks for the workaround Se_Ke , it has worked successfully and will work until HP can implement a fix for the issue in a new firmware release.

thanks for your fix. it works fine, but the users don't like it. Ok, the don't like changes 🙂

i hope hp fix the problem with the next update, because i don't want to configure 200 devices.

It is possible. Copy the Firmware on a USB stick and put it into the printer. remove the network cable and search for updates 🙂

I am having the same issue.  Updated firmware yesterday and now the email scan function does not work, and will not accept the email credentials when trying to establish a profile.

Same issue here.  Confirmed firmware update.

Adding the workaround that was mentioned until @HP can fix the firmware.
