Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. My computer can't see my scanner either via easyscan or image capture. Strangely I can still print, wirelessly, although the scan apps say they can't see the scanner. I have been using HP easyscan for a couple of years, since the scan function stopped working direct from the printer, which I understand was something to do with the drivers no longer being compatible with later versions of Mac OS, but now I can't scan at all, via any option! Printed wireless network test results- all seems fine- but scanner can't see computer & computer can't see scanner! Help!

I see that you're unable to scan from the computer or the printer, this could be an issue with the installed printer drivers. Let us try to isolate and resolve the issue-

 

HP Easy Scan might not find your printer if the software or driver needs to be updated. Try the solutions below, and then try to add your printer to HP Easy Scan.

  • Update HP Easy Scan: Open HP Easy Scan. On the upper bar, click HP Easy Scan, click Check for Updates, and then install any available updates.

Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

 

Refer to the document HP Printers - How to Scan (Mac) for additional help.
