HP Photosmart 7525

I bought my HP Photosmart 7525 printer few years back. SO far, it used to print, scan, copy well by just replacing ink cartridges ( when they ran out of ink).  Now its not anymore ink cartridge issue. Black ink is missing, even though I have replaced with new thick and thin black cartridges ( HP standard).

 

I checked everything I can think of but not sure, what could be the reason for not printing, copying etc

 

Appreciate it, if any expert provide my options here

Hi @smaram29

 

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the printing issue. 

 

Let's try these steps to reset the printer - 

 

1) Take out the cartridges.

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Wait for 30 seconds. 

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

 

Also, try cleaning the ink cartridges and the printhead. Refer to step# 10 to 16 from this document

 

If the issue still persists, try updating the printer's firmware. Refer to this document for steps.
