Hi, I am using a HPPhotosmart C4580 with MacOS Ventura 13.1 and I have the following issue:

the printer is detected in Macs internal "Printer& scanner" setting and I am able to print. However, I can't use the scanner function anymore, which worked on older laptops. I've tried using HP Smart, which hasn't detected the printer at all and looked for additional drivers, but found none. Do you have any suggestions of what else I could try to be able to scan again?

Welcome to the HP Support Community

 

I understand you are facing a scan-related issue with your HP Photosmart C4580 Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

 

I see that the operating system is not compatible with the printer so to resolve this issue you may download HP Easy Scan ( Reference Video: Scan from an HP Printer in macOS )
