When I try to scan to my computer using HP Smart it directs me to register for HP Cloud Services.  I want to scan to my computer only.  I do not wish to use HP cloud services

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Can you download and install the FULL featured printer software from HP for your operating system:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-officejet-pro-6970-all-in-one-printer-...


Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

 

It doesn't require you to sign up for any account.

 

With the HP Scan from the FULL software, it has good features as well such as the example below:
