HP Scan Ext with HP F380
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I scan multiple images at 300dpi HP Scan Extended works well.

When I change the resolution to 600dpi and I click Save, it Rescans (message: Rescanning image with selected resolution), but no files are actaully saved.

Clicking Save again just repeats the above behaviour.

Any suggestions please?

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Have you tried to download and install using the Software that came with your printer?

Can you download and install the FULL feature printer software from HP for your operating system:

The following resource will help you :
https://support.hp.com/sg-en/drivers

Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.
Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

Hope that helps.

Thank you for the response.

I've downloaded and installed the following file as recommended: AIO_CDB_NonNet_Full_Win_WW_140_408-4.exe

This installed various support applications, but not a scanning utility.

My options seems to be:

1) Use HP Scan Extended (which scans, just not at higher than 300dpi as described before)

2) Use Paint with HP drivers (but then I have to scan photos individually)

Am I missing an aplication that should have been installed with the full feature printer software?

Ideally I would like to use HP Scan Extended; seems like the perfect application, except I cannot get it to work above 300dpi...

Ok, I have found the HP Scanning application in the Solution Centre. This seems to work, thanks!
