I have a new computer and my HP Scan no longer works. It scans a page then sometimes it lets me try to save it and sometimes it crashes before I get that far. If I get to the save screen, the Save button is grey. I tried reinstalling. Thank you, Carol

I understand the printer is not able to scan and I'll be glad to help you out. However, for an accurate solution, I would need more details:

Are you able to copy documents?

Are you initiating a scan using the HP easy Scan application or from the printer control panel display?

How is the printer connected, USB or Wireless?

I am using the HP Scan app, my printer is set up for wireless. I can print and make copies and I can scan from my old MacBook Pro, but not the new one. Thank you for helping me out!

You are welcome! Removing the existing Scanner Application and then installing HP Easy Scan may resolve the issue. Let's try these steps:

1.) Open Finder, click Applications.

2.) Delete the existing HP scanner applications by moving it to trash.

3.) Download and install HP Easy Scan from here
