When HP "Smart" failed me a couple years ago, an HP tech directed me toward HP Scan and Capture, which worked quickly and simply. Now, I'm learning that HP Scan and Capture has been discontinued and I will be forced to use HP "Smart" again which ... sort of works ... eventually. What prejudice drives any company to discard a solution that works for one that sort of works and has failed in the past?! As a long-time user of HP printer and laptop products, I am baffled by this and question the judgment of the business decision. HP, you've abandoned mag rail and told us to use Greyhound again.
