On my previous Windows computer, I could scan documents using an HP Icon in my tray and it would go directly to the scan screen.  It would allow me to add date and time to the scanned file name.  Using HP Smart, I cannot do that now.  Do you know how to fix this?

Hi @HJB1954 Please follow HP Easy Start, within the Software Selection screen be sure to select the HP Basic or HP Full Feature Software option and complete the software installation:

Following the installation you would see the HP Printer software and the HP Scan icons added to your desktop.

This still does not help.  There was some HP program that would identify each scanned document down to the second.

EX:  Receipts 11/18/21 23:21:15

The way the program works now is the first document is:

Receipts

Receipts (1).  

If I then put them in the folder for November, the next time I scan, HP will label it 

Receipt

Receipt (1).  

If I then put them in the November folder, another step is required to differentiate the receipts from each other. 

Before I changed computers and lost that Icon, I did not have to do that.
