Can anyone advise how to reset the Embedded Web Server (EWS) password, which is also used on the front panel, of the HP ScanJet Pro 4500 fn1 ?

 

The previous suggestion of holding ? whilst pressing the power button does not work. All options in the control panel are locked, as are the reset option.

 

The previous administrator has set the admin password and is no longer contactable.

 

I know this has been asked before but there does not appear to be a working solution.
