Scanjet G4010 Scanner
Microsoft Windows 11

I recently upgrade my MSI GS65 Stealth 8RF laptop from MS Windows 10 Pro to MS Windows 11 Pro 21H2. Tried to scan from my HP Scanjet G4010 scanner and I receive the error code, "The program could not find any available destinations to which scans can be sent. Try the following steps:

 - Reboot the computer.

 - Reinstall the Photosmart software that came with the device."

Extended error detail information: 8, [(6,0, -2147467262)].

Under Device Manager, Imaging Devices, shows this device is working properly.

Apparently I should re-download and re-install the HP Photosmart software for the HP Scanjet G4010 Scanner. The HP Support  site doesn't seem to have this software available that I can find so far. Is there even a version for MS Windows 11?

I re-installed Windows 11 Pro as a new installation rather than an overlay of my programs and data. I then reinstalled the Scanjet G4010 installation software (which I had located and previously could not find). The scanner and software application are both operating as it it was previously under Windows 10.

I now consider this problem closed; though the original intent was to locate the scanner installation software from HP Support that I could have been able to download and circumvent a considerable amount of time trying to find after so many years.
