Hi,

 

I own an HP ScanJet Enterprise Flow 7000 S3, and I use the HP Scan program to scan paperwork in my office. I have an issue with scanning QR codes and naming the resulting PDFs with the value of the QR code. It would recognize all the barcodes and separate them according to my settings, but then when it would name the PDF files it would be in another language like chinese or sometimes even just symbols. I noticed that this would happen when the QR code had a string with less than 8 characters. For example, one QR code would have the string "1-20-1" but it wouldn't name properly, but if it was "4-15000-1001" it would name properly.

 

Is there some kind of limitation with scanning and naming via QR codes where it needs to be more than a certain amount of characters? Is there any way to resolve this?
