We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

HP Smart is giving the error that Scanning is Currently Unavailable. I have done all the troubleshooting listed in this guide:

None of these have fixed the problem. The closest I got was when unplugging the printer, but this fix only lasted until the app was closed and reopened, at which time it was again giving the error message.

The printer is able to print and is connected to the network and to the app. I'm not sure what else to try that I haven't already attempted.

Then try this:

  1. shut down printer via on/off switch
  2. switch off the router
  3. shut down the computer
  4. wait about 60 sec.
  5. switch on the router, wait until the router has completely initialized itself again
  6. Switch on the printer, wait until the printer has finished its initialization
  7. switch on computer, log in (with admin rights) and wait about 10 sec.

... and now everything's working again?

 

If not, what messages are displayed (on the computer / on the printer)?

Unfortunately, this did not work. I can't see any messages on the computer or the printer aside from the message saying the feature is unavailable when you attempt to scan. Are there any other options I can try?
