It's frustrating that there is no option for scanning an A3 image on a scanner that supports it on the glass. Especially since the document feeder is unable to do A3 it is frustrating that there is no A3 scanning support on the HP smart app. My device is HP OfficeJet Pro 7740.

A3 = 11.69 x 16.53 inches

Specifications > Scan

Maximum flatbed scan size
297 x 432 mm (11.69 x 17 in)

Suggestion:

Set Source to Scanner Glass / Flatbed

Set Page Size to Entire Scan Area

Hi there,

I am aware you can use the scan entire area option but it would be better to have a separate option like the A4 paper has so that you don't have to manually trim the scan down. Can this not be added in an update?

Thanks,

OK - it is true the solution is not to your liking.  It happens.

The A3 selection could be added to an update - it is just more lines of code.

That said, in my personal opinion, it is difficult to predict whether it would happen.

Consider - the ability to scan / print at size A3 is restricted to a few printers.

Photo scanning supports "Detect Edges" - that may be as close as you can get to what you want.
