Microsoft Windows 11

Yesterday the scanning screen for HP Smart changed in such a manner that the scanning function cannot be used.  All other functions on the printer work fine.  The save scan inner screen became offset to the right and cannot be accessed as shown on the attached image.

Wow -- and while I can guess about a couple of ways to fix it, I've also read recently that HP Smart is no longer available from the Microsoft Store -- the application has finally been fully replaced by the HP App.

That just means that amongst whatever else you try, uninstalling HP Smart is likely a dead-end if it cannot be reinstalled.  No, if the application is not available in the Microsoft Store , there are no "secret stash" updates unless you go off-book (download from an unknown / untrusted Not-HP source).

-- What to do? --

If you don't find a solution elsewhere, consider upgrading to the replacement application:  HP

True, no longer "smart", the new HP application is meant to be a replacement for the HP Support Assistant, the HP Smart app, and most of the diagnostic and help for your HP computer and detected or added HP Printers.

The following videos are meant to help navigate using the HP App.

-- Note --

Unless the videos are / have been replaced, they are not specifically directed to using the HP App in Windows.  I've added an example of using the app Reset available in Windows.

HP Smart, if it is still installed, might benefit from the Reset procedure.
