Hello @ranjan_rbl ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!

The HP software must be completely uninstalled and removed of the system.

First download only this complete package: "HP Smart Tank 500 Print and Scan Driver and Accessories ",

1) File name: Full_Webpack-50.2.4593-ST500_Full_Webpack.exe (216.5 MB)

Next...

  1. Disconnect printer/scanner from computer- Disable WLAN, WiFi and/or remove the USB or LAN cable.- Do not switch off the printer >> unplug the power cord from the socket!
read Uninstall the HP software, drivers, and apps used with HP printers.

  2. right-click Start, search for "control panel" and open "Programs and Features"
uninstall all HP printer software > via "Programs and Features"
  3. right-click Start, search for "control panel" and open "Devices and Printers"
In the "Devices and Printers" window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
  4. Restart the PC
  5. Close all programs
  6. Reconnect the printer to the power supply and switch it on (if this does not happen automatically)
  7. Please note: WLAN has to be deactivated!
  8. Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo > in folder Downloads click on the EXE 1), see above.
  9. The installation was completed successfully, now you must ...
  10. Restart the PC again
  11. Now the installation is complete.

Via USB, means wait until the installation asks to connect the printer/scanner.

Document error messages accurately, even better is to take a screenshot of it and upload here.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thanks so much @Andr-1611. After following your steps, I realized HP Smart Scan is not a good App and the traditional software is way better. Now I am able to scan all the documents and printing is also awesome.

Also I would like to add 1 more step to remove any HP printer instance from the PC.

Step 1 - Click Windows icon + R and type printui.exe /s

Step 2 - In the dialogue box, open Drivers Tab and delete all HP related entries and save

Hi @ranjan_rbl ,

Thank you for the feedback.
Also for your advice to add 2 additional steps for uninstallation.
