Hi @Jeanx, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're experiencing a connectivity issue with your HP Smart Tank 5000 series printer. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this:

Check Network Connection: Ensure that both your printer and computer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Sometimes, connectivity issues arise if they are on different networks.

Restart Devices: Power cycle your printer and computer. Turn them off, wait for about 30 seconds, and then turn them back on.

Update HP Smart App: Make sure you have the latest version of the HP Smart app installed on your computer. You can download it from the Microsoft Store if needed.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor: This is a free tool provided by HP to diagnose and fix printing and scanning issues. You can download it from the HP Support website

Re-add Printer: Remove the printer from the HP Smart app and then add it again. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.

Check Firewall Settings: Ensure that your firewall or antivirus software is not blocking the HP Smart app or the printer's communication.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
