HP Smart Tank 7301 All-in-One

HP Smart Tank 7301 All-in-One.    When making copies directly from the unit (no computer involved), how do I find the Settings button or Icon.   Instructions tell me to push the copy button, then the Settings button - but I don't see it anywhere.

Hi @CJY2,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

For the HP Smart Tank 7301 All-in-One printer, making copies directly from the unit involves using the control panel on the printer. If the instructions mention pressing a Settings button but you cannot find it, here’s a more detailed guide to help you locate and use the settings for copying:

Making Copies on the HP Smart Tank 7301

Power On the Printer:

  • Ensure the printer is powered on and ready.

Load the Document:

  • Place the document you want to copy face down on the scanner glass, aligning it with the guides.

Access the Copy Function:

  • On the printer’s control panel, locate and press the Copy button. This should be a physical button or an icon on the display screen.

Find the Settings or Options:

  • After pressing the Copy button, look at the display screen on the printer. You should see options related to copying.
  • There might not be a dedicated "Settings" button labeled as such. Instead, look for an Options or Menu button/icon that allows you to adjust copy settings.

Adjust Copy Settings:

  • Navigate through the options on the display to adjust settings such as the number of copies, color or black & white, paper size, and quality.
  • Use the navigation buttons (usually arrows) to scroll through the settings menu.

Start Copying:

  • Once you’ve adjusted the settings to your preference, confirm the settings.
  • Press the Start button (often a green button or a start icon) to begin copying.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
