HP Smart Tank Printer. When attempting to shut the lid over the glass, It sticks about 1.5" from closing. If I leave it, the lid snaps shut with a bang.

This has been happening since the first day I opened and started using my printer. I went to buy in and thought I'd check and see if anyone else has had this issues. Seems 9 other HP customers have reported this issue.

Hi @megaroller,

Welcome to the HP support community.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience with your HP Smart Tank printer.

We’re sorry to hear that the scanner lid does not close smoothly and snaps shut unexpectedly. This is not the intended behaviour, and we understand how frustrating this must be, especially since it’s been occurring since day one.
