Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Envy Photo 6255
Chrome OS

I am using the HP Envy Photo 6255 with my Chromebook.  I use the HP Smart app.  Scanning was working fine up until a week ago.  Now when I go to the app and select Scanning, one of two things happen - it either quickly flashes connecting to HP Services and then it brings be back to the previous screen or it asks me to log in to start scanning and when I try to log in, I get an error message that I do not understand.  Something like Invalid_Grant.  No idea what that means nor could I find any helpful information.  I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app, turning off and unplugging the printer, uninstalling/reinstalling the printer software and resetting the wifi for the printer and still the problem persists.  I'm hoping someone can help.  Thank you.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Chromebook uses Webscan.

This Example shows you how to scan using Chromebook:

Hope that helps!

Thank you for responding. I actually found a fix after changing the way I asked my question when googling. I downloaded Chrome Dev browser and then when I got the option to sign into my HP account and it asked me which browser I wanted to use,

I selected the Dev browser and was able to successfully log in and am now able to Scan using the HP Smart app.  No more Invalid _Grant error.
