Hi @INK-Drain23,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you prefer to use your Outlook app instead of the "Mail" option provided by HP Smart, you can follow these general steps to configure your preferred email application:

  1. Open the HP Smart app on your device.
  2. Locate the document or item you want to email.
  3. Select the option to share or send the document via email.
  4. When the email options appear, choose "Mail" as the default email option.
  5. A new email window or prompt will open with the selected document attached.
  6. Instead of using the default "Mail" app, switch to your Outlook app by following one of the methods below.

Option 1: Copy and Paste

  • Leave the HP Smart app open with the new email window.
  • Minimize or switch to the HP Smart app.
  • Open your Outlook app separately.
  • Create a new email within Outlook.
  • Return to the HP Smart app and copy the content of the email (subject, body, attachments, etc.).
  • Switch back to the Outlook app and paste the copied content into your new email.

Option 2: Share or Open With

  • Leave the HP Smart app open with the new email window.
  • Minimize or switch to the HP Smart app.
  • Open your Outlook app separately.
  • Within the Outlook app, look for the option to share or open files from other applications.
  • Choose the sharing option and select the HP Smart app.
  • This action should bring you back to the HP Smart app with the content transferred to your Outlook app.
  • Make any necessary adjustments and send the email from Outlook.

By following one of these methods, you should be able to compose and send the email using your preferred Outlook app while still leveraging the HP Smart app to access the document or item you want to send.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
