Scanner is not working.  When I try to reload drivers I have to go through HP Smart which will not load because instantink.hpconnected,com is blocked on my Dell laptop

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

 

I see you are experiencing scanner issues with the HP DeskJet 2710e All-In-One Printer.

 

I have a few recommendations 

  • Resolve HP scanning issues using our HP Print and Scan diagnostic tool.
  • Run HPPSdr.exe from the download location on your computer.
  • Once HP Print and Scan Doctor is open, click Start, and then choose your printer.
    • If your printer is not listed, turn it on and click Retry.
    • If there is a connection problem, follow the instructions in the tool.
  • Click Fix Scanning.

Enable scanning to a computer (Windows)

  1. Open the HP Printer Assistant. Windows 10: From the Start menu, click All Apps, click HP, and then select the printer name.
  2. Go to the Scan section.
  3. Select Manage Scan to Computer.
  4. Click Enable.
