HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e All-in-One Printer

My printer (OfficeJet Pro 8025e) prints documents from my PC (Windows 11).  HP smart app on my PC sees the ink levels, but I cannot scan from my PC anymore.  I have been able to scan for years on this computer and printer. The printer and computer are both on the same wifi network.  

I can scan and print to the same printer from my iphone using the HP smart app. 

The HP smart app on my PC shows the printer on remote mode (green cloud icon).

The HP smart app on my iphone shows the printer Ready with a (green circle icon)

 

  • Have uninstalled and reinstalled HP Smart app on my PC.   
  • Downloaded Print and Scan Doctor on my PC but it doesn't see the printer.  
  • Tried to update with new drivers and software but it couldn't see my printers to update it.
  • Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) is running and automatic.

Not sure what else to do.

Thank-you for your response.  I looked through all the documents which were pertinent to the Windows PC and I had already tried all the suggestions.  It still says "Couldn't Connect to Scanner" when I try to scan a document, but it is still able to print from the computer, which suggests that I am on the same wifi network.  

The one thing I couldn't do is find the HP DIM in c:\Program Files (x86)\HP\digital imaging\bin, as I am using the HP Smart App, there is nothing in the HP folder in Program Files except for a diagnostic tool.  Could that be a problem?
