Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

App used to work great but now it crashes as soon as I click the Scan button.  I uninstalled and reinstalled and it continues to crash.  I am having to scan to e-mail which requires me to manually push about 8 buttons to scan.  Huge pain.  What is wrong with the HP Smart app and why does it crash?

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.  Sorry to hear about the Smart app crashes.  Try the HP FULL software instead.

Can you download and install the HP FULL Solution Software for your operating system:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-officejet-pro-8030-all-in-one-printer-...

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.
