HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e All-in-One Printer
macOS 12.0 Monterey

The HP Smart App won't open on my Macbook Air with Monterey OS.  I've updated the app and rebooted my laptop, to no avail.  I need to use the Scan feature for a multi-page document and could use some advice.  I'm able to print to the printer just fine.

Hi @Foxgrrl,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you are facing an HP Smart App issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e All-In-One Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

You may use the HP Easy Scan app, it is an alternate application designed for MAC OS and helps customers to scan. You may download it directly from Apple Store. Once you scan your document, please try the below steps to resolve the HP Smart App issue.

Uninstalling HP Smart from the library:

The Library folder contains the personalization, preference, and cache files of the HP Smart app. Let's try removing HP Smart App and its associated files from the Library folder:

1.) Open Finder and click Applications

2.) Move HP Smart App to Trash and clear the Trash.

3.) Open Finder then click Go and Click Home.

4.) Click View then Click Show View Options. Check the box Show Library Folder.

The change is instantaneous and the Library folder will immediately become visible.

5.) Open Library and Open Application Support, move HP Smart folder to Trash and clear the Trash

6.) Download and install HP Smart App from here.

Update the Firmware:

Let me know how it goes!
