HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One and use it mostly as a scanner. I normally click on the HP Solution CenScreenshot 2021-01-16 142112.pngter icon on my taskbar to open it. The other day I did that and got the attached icon. When I clicked on the icon it did nothing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the the setup for Windows 10 from the HP site and that changed nothing. It looks to me like HP has been hacked. Any suggestions? I would be very unhappy to have to get a new scanner because of this.

The icon screenshot that I took didn't upload correctly. The icon looks like fancy F followed by a blue i.

Hi @Unhappy2021,

I'd like to help!

Adobe has stopped supporting the Flash player that was required for HP Solution Center. There is no update on new software as of now.

You can print using Windows built-in drivers. Follow the steps below:

•    Go to Control Panel - Devices and printers - Click on "Add printer" and follow the on-screen instructions.

•    When the page prompts for the drivers, select "Windows update". The driver list will be updated.

•    Click HP, Hewlett Packard, or Hewlett-Packard in the Manufacturer pane, and then click the name of your printer in the Printers pane.

Refer to this document HP Printers - Installing and Using the Windows Built-in Print Driver for help.

Note: If the printer is not found in the list, try Deskjet 990c or Deskjet 6980 to install the printer as these are the generic printer drivers.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
