I have found numerous ways to avoid the cloud sign in, however I would like to use the HP smart app for an elderly family member which has trouble adapting to other tools.
There were many problems with the printer from the very beginning, every 2-3 weeks gets into an "unknown state" and refuses to do anything, at times says there is no scanning device, wifi function is doubling the number of incidents, USB is the most reliable so far, i mean, only breaks once in 2-3 weeks, the other methods break connection until reinstall driver even within the same day if you reboot the computer.
Unfortunately, I cannot get another printer from another vendor and train my father to use it again, so I need to fix this one, please help me with a version of HP smart which does not force me to use the cloud.
Thank you.

Hi,
Thanks for using the HP Support Community. You can use the HP FULL software to avoid cloud.
Can you download and install the FULL featured printer software from HP for your operating system:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-officejet-pro-9020-all-in-one-printer-...
Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.
