HP deskjet ink advantage 3545 scanner

After installing Windows 11 I was trying to connect printer/scanner. I managed to connect printer, however, I have a lot of troubles with scanner. HP Scan do not recognize scanner even if I put IP number. I cannot use HP Scan Assistant (I'm using scanner connected to Wi-Fi). I CAN scan with Windows scanner program (without many features included in HP scanner program). I can also scan with HP Smart (very odd way of working with local device).

 

Please help.

It seems like you're facing compatibility issues with your HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3545 scanner after upgrading to Windows 11. 

 

Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem:

 

Update Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your printer/scanner model. Ensure they are compatible with Windows 11.

 

Use HP Smart App:

  • The HP Smart app is designed to work seamlessly with Windows 11. You can download it from the Microsoft Store and set up your scanner through the app.

 

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool from the HP Support page. This tool can automatically diagnose and fix scanning issues.

 

Check Network Settings:

  • Ensure your scanner is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer. Verify the IP address and try reconnecting the scanner.

 

Uninstall and Reinstall HP Software:

  • Uninstall the existing HP software and reinstall it using the latest version from the HP website. This can resolve compatibility issues.

 

Use Windows Scan:

  • If HP Scan Assistant doesn't work, you can continue using the Windows Scan program as a temporary solution. It may lack advanced features but can handle basic scanning tasks.
