MY scanner decided to stop scanning to computer, have no idea what went wrong. HP Office Jet Pro6970. I have done troubleshooting, rebooted, anything I can think of and it's still not scanning.

"Decided to" is perhaps related to one or more of the following conditions:

  1. The Full Feature Software is no longer installed
  2. The Full Feature Software is installed but has been corrupted (possibly by Windows Updates)
  3. The Full Feature Software is installed but "Scan to Computer" is no longer enabled

AND

  1. The first one requires that you install the Full Feature Software and enable Scan to Computer
  2. The next one requires that you Uninstall the printer software from Programs and Features > Restart computer / log in > Install the Full Feature Software and enable Scan to Computer.
  3. The software is installed and functional - Restart the computer / log in > Use the Printer Assistant Shortcut on the Desktop to open and Enable Scan to Computer

When needed / wanted, enable "Scan to Computer" using the Printer Assistant

Open the Printer Assistant > Tab Scan > Manage Scan to Computer > Enable
