We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Just a heads up if you are having problems with computer not finding the scanner.  I went through steps of uninstalling, and reinstalling full driver pack but still was having issues of not finding it especially after inactive for a while.  We had a work around where I'm the device manager we could remove the scanner, unplug the scanner and then plug back in to get it to work but still needed to do frequently throughout the day.

 

 

After talking with HP there is apparently a new setting in Windows 11 that can cause the problem. For future reference, here's how to access it:

 
> On the administrator account, go to Device Manager
> Click the arrow next to "Universal Serial Bus controllers"
> Right click "USB Root Hub (USB 3.0)
> Properties
> Power Management
> There's an option called "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" that was checked. He unchecked it, which hopefully will fix the issue.
 
He said another thing we could try, if it stops working again, is going to:
 
> Services
> Right click "Windows Image Acquisition"
> Restart
 
He also mentioned that they're aware of this issue with other users that have upgraded to Windows 11, and a Windows update coming out in October should fix it.
