HP4650 Must Use USB to Fax

I can successfully print and scan over my wireless network.  I can't fax over the wireless network, I must connect to the printer with a USB cable.  Does anyone have a fix?

To better assist you - Is the fax cable connected?

I CAN successfully FAX if I'm connected from the PC to the HP4650 with a USB cable.

I CANNOT fax with the USB cable disconnected and connected to the HP4650 wirlessly.

I CAN both successfully print and scan connected to the printer wirelessly.

SO, THE PROBLEM STATEMENT IS NOT BEING ABLE TO FAX WIRELESSLY.  The print and scan features work flawlessly wirelessly connected but FAX does not work wirelessly.

I'm afraid, HP printers does not support digital fax. You can only fax through a phone line connectivity.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!!

I SUCCESSFULLY FAXED THROUGH A PHONE LINE !!!!!!!!!

(HP 4650 CONNECTED TO THE PHONE LINE VIA PHONE JACK CONNECTION).

THE PROBLEM IS THE CONNECTION FROM THE PC TO THE HP4650 TO THE PC.

- USING A USB CABLE FROM THE PC TO THE HP4650 FAXING WORKS PERFECTLY!!!!!!

- DISCONNECTING THE USB CABLE AND USING MY NETWORK WIRELESS CONNECTION I CAN'T FAX

- I KNOW THE WIRLELESS NETWORK CONNECTION IS WORKING BECAUSE I CAN PRINT AND SCAN WIRLELESSLY TO THE HP4650!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

HP printers are designed specifically for use with traditional analog phone services. If you are in a digital phone environment (such as DSL/ADSL, PBX, or ISDN), you might need to use digital-to-analog filters or converters when setting up the printer for faxing.

Also HP does not guarantee that the printer will be compatible with all digital service lines or providers, in all digital environments, or with all digital-to-analog converters. It is always recommended that you discuss with the telephone company directly for the correct setup options based on their line services provided.

I'm sorry for Asmita or KrazyToad  that neither seem to be able to grasp the issue.

Could a higher level HP employee please read my thread and respond?

REPEATING, TRYING A DIFFERENT WAY TO EXPLAIN !!!!

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY TELEPHONE LINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE HP4650 PHONE JACK SUCCESSFULLY COMMUNICATES WITH MY TELEPHONE LINE AND SUCCESSFULLY FAXES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE ISSUE IS THAT IS THE THAT I NEED TO CONNECT THE  HP4650 TO MY PC WITH A USB CABLE IN ORDER TO FAX.

I CANNOT FAX WITH THE PC CONNECTING TO THE HP4650 VIA WIFI.

I KNOW THE WIFI CONNECTION TO THE HP4650 WORKS BECAUSE I CAN SUCCESSFULLY PRINT AND SCAN VIA THE WIFI.

THERE IS OBVIOUSLY A QUIRK WITH THE PRINTER REQUIRING CONNECTION VIA USB BETWEEN THE HP4650 AND MY PC IN ORDER TO FAX.
