The application or software you are using to open, view, configure, and submit the job to the printer might impact the behavior.

 

For example, if you are using HP Scan, it is possible the software is corrupted --

Have you tried uninstalling / reinstalling the printer software?

 

Full Driver Printer Software

The basics

  • Uninstall existing software from Programs and Features
  • Restart computer and log in.

 

Details Page - Driver - For your Printer

>>> Full Feature Software - Web Pack Installation Package - Information - Download / Save / (then) Install <<<

HP OfficeJet 5200 All-in-One Print and Scan Driver and Accessories 

If asked, opt for the Full Driver to be installed.

 

After the software is installed, Restart the computer and sign in.

The way the printer is connected to the network might impact the results.

The condition of the network connection might impact results.

 

Scanning is a resource hungry process -

  • Reduce load on the network
  • Restart your devices
  • Reduce the load on the computer -- for example, don't have your favorite game open / running and decide scan a big job...
  • Select a different - local- destination - Cloud  and other "remote" destinations might balk if not signed in or if the connection is slow.
