We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

The document feeder will accept a document for scanning or copying and cycle it through, but the scanning and copying doesn't happen. The error message is: "The document feeder was not able to pick up the original. Make sure the document feeder cover is closed completely , load the original in the document feeder and try again."  The feeder cover is closed, and of course the document IS accepted. All the interior rollers and other moving parts have been cleaned with a lint-free cloth and water, and with compressed air, in addition.

 

Any advice would be appreciated.

Do you face the same problem when scanning or photocopying from the Scanner Glass?

 

Try updating the Firmware and let me know if the issue persists. Please follow the instructions in this Link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02919168

I checked on the firmware. The automatic updates were already activated, and firmware is up to date. Scanning and copying off the flatbed have worked fine. Thanks for checking in, though.

If you have already followed the steps from the document HP OfficeJet 6900 Printers - An 'Out of Paper' Message Displays, Printer Does Not Pick Up Paper and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
