When scanning I did not see in the HP Scan application a method to select dual sided scanning. WHich seems odd when the printer can print dual sided.

Hello, 

 

The said printer does not support Auto - Duplex scanning. However duplex scanning can be done manually. Below are the steps. Also listed below is the document that should be of help for scanning related steps.

 

  1. Scan multi-page two-sided documents (Windows, Mac)
    Use the automatic document feeder (ADF) and settings in HP Smart for Windows and macOS to scan documents with two sides and save them in a single PDF file.
  2. Load the two-sided document in the ADF.
  3. Click the Scan tile on the HP Smart app home screen.
  4. Select Document Feeder in the Source menu.
  5. Click Scan.
  6. After the first sides are scanned, remove the pages from the output tray.
  7. Without turning the pages over or changing the page order, load them back into the document feeder with the same leading edge. You might need to rotate the pages first.
  8. Click +Add to scan the other sides of the pages.
  9. In the preview window, drag and drop the pages in the order you want.
  10. Click Save, and then select Basic PDF as the file type to save the document as a single PDF file.
