Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

when scanning the document feeder will pull the  8.5 x 11 paper into the feeder and then stop about 4 inches into the scan. then will continue making separate pages of a single page scan.  I have reinstalled the software, followed the power done procedure but still does it intermittently as before. it may scan 20 pages fine then have this error for one page and scan 10 more fine.  document feeder has run nearly 90,000 pages.

Welcome to HP support community.

 

Perform a power reset

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
  6. Turn on the printer.

Update the printer firmware
