HP ScanJet Enterprise Flow N9120 fn2 Document Scanner

I am currently trying to get an HP ScanJet Enterprise Flow N9120 fn2 to work with Kofax Capture.

After working with one of their techs, they found that the issue is with the HP Driver, somehow.

I am able to scan using HP's scanning software, as well as the built-in Microsoft scanning software.

I am currently using C:\Windows\PIXTRAN\testappn.exe to test the ISIS driver, but when I click on either scan option, the program crashes.

In the event viewer, it shows this:

Faulting application name: testappn.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x589b56f6
Faulting module name: HPScanTEDrv.dll, version: 58.0.6283.0, time stamp: 0x640ddc1c

Report Id: 7c706a01-faed-4074-8d58-ca7db7b8ca4e
Faulting package full name:
Faulting package-relative application ID:

I have tried reinstalling the printer and the drivers many times. I have tried running the installer in compatibility mode with Windows 7. I have also tried having the scanner be installed through both USB and over the network.

I have tried looking through process monitor logs to see what's going on but I am unable to find anything.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Justin

A Kofax tech suggested that the cause might be related to our department's SentinelOne security software.

After disabling SentinelOne and reinstalling the HP Scan Drivers and ISIS Drivers, we were able to test the scanner using Kofax's VRS Test Application and it scans correctly.

It still scans correctly after SentinelOne is re-enabled, which suggests that SentinelOne is interfering with the installation somehow.
