I was out of the country for several months helping a sick friend. I've come back and find that when I try to scan a document the program is no longer the one, I had. It no longer has the option to make a PDF document, and I cannot add pages but must use the feeder if I have more than one page. I have scanned several documents and saved them. When I go to email the documents, they are nowhere on my computer. Can someone please tell me what is going on. How can I get the old program back?

May I know if you were using HP Scan and Capture app?
May I know are you using the printer with a computer or a phone?
If using with a computer which operating system is installed on your computer? If using a phone, is it an iPhone or Android?
Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates.
Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

Thank you for your help. I have downloaded HP Smart. It works but it is no where near as good as the HP Scan and Capture app. Why is it that when you have a really good product someone in the company decides that it's too good and does away with it and replaces it with a mediocre version. Rhetorical question as I know you personally have no answer to the question. But again, thank you for your help. At least now I can scan and send the documents I need to send.
