- How can I disable the PIN code when scanning to email?

It's very annoying to have to enter a PIN code every time I want to scan to email. I found another answer here that said you can configure this through the device's web interface, but when I access the web interface, there is no "Scan to Email" section in the "Scan" tab. It only shows "Scan to Computer" and "Address Book".
So, is there a way to disable this "feature"? Also, even better would have it to default to my email address so I don't even have to select an e-mail address. I just want to load the document and hit scan.

The page you linked explains how to install HP Smart and scan directory to a computer. That's a reasonable alternative in many cases, but it's not really a solution to the problem of how to scan to email without using a PIN.
