Hello,

I was intending to purchase the above printer. But I understand that the document feeder does not enable automatic double sided scanning.  Can the community suggest either: (1) and alternative model for home use or (2) a work around? I need to scan double sided handwritten notes.  For example, is there a method of scanning to pdf twice and splicing the 2 pdf documents together?

Thank  you

@EOB12, Welcome to HP Support Community!

To be able to assist you better, I would like to know the following:

What is the Operating System installed on your Computer?

Would you connect the printer wirelessly?

Keep me posted.

Cheers 🙂

Thank you.

My operating system is Windows 10. I will connect either wirelessly or via USB cable - either is  convenient

@EOB12

Try this scan solution:

HP Scan Extended

For Windows:   ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Check all your settings and expand all tabs and all + signs to see all options that available.

Let me know the outcome.

Cheers 🙂

Please can you re-read the original question. This solution is clearly not applicable.
