I have an HP 7000 series printer/scanner. I just scanned 7 pages of a document. I need to combine them into one file. How do I do that? Please help!

Hi @JTaylorwestla,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Great question! Combining multiple scanned pages into one file is easy with the right steps. Here’s how you can do it:

Option 1: Use HP App (Recommended)

  1. Open HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site.
  2. Select Scan.
  3. After scanning the first page, click Add Page (or the + icon) for each additional page.
  4. When all 7 pages are scanned, click Done.
  5. Choose Save as PDF (or JPEG if needed).
  6. Save the file to your computer or cloud storage.

Option 2: Use Built-in macOS or Windows Tools

  • On Windows:
    • Open HP Scan or Windows Fax and Scan.
    • Scan each page and select Combine into one PDF before saving.
  • On macOS:
    • Scan all pages individually.
    • Open them in Preview.
    • Drag all pages into one Preview window → File → Export as PDF.

Option 3: Use Online Tools

If you already have 7 separate files:

  • Use a free PDF merge tool like Adobe Acrobat Online or iLovePDF.
  • Upload all files and download the combined PDF.

💡 Tip: If you want this to happen automatically every time, HP Smart’s multi-page scan feature is the easiest way.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
