I had to put in a new hard drive in my laptop. I reloaded my printer from HP but I am not able to scan from the control panel of the printer itself, only from opening the app. I want to put an item on printer glass or in feed and press scan to the computer it work. How do I get it to work again?

Hi,
Is the printer connected with a USB or through the network?
Did you install the HP Full Feature Software or HP Smart?
What exact application you currently use to scan from the computer itself?
Say thanks by clicking the Kudos thumb up in the post.

Using home wifi. I have HP Smart and that is the only way I can scan. When I go to the panel on the printer and select the computer to scan too, it tells me not connected. However, if i open HP smart I can scan what is on the glass.
