Hi @Dejeep,

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Scan the Document:

  • Place your document on the scanner glass or use the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF).
  • On the printer's control panel, select the scan option and choose your Mac as the scanning destination.
  • Use either the HP Smart app or Image Capture on your Mac to initiate the scan.

Save the Document as PDF:

  • Once the document is scanned, save it in PDF format using the scanning software.

Password Protect the PDF:

  • Open the PDF using Preview on your Mac.
  • Go to File > Export and choose PDF as the format.
  • In the export options, select Encrypt and enter a password. Click Save.

Email the Document:

  • Open your email client.
  • Attach the password-protected PDF file.
  • Send the email to your desired recipient.

I hope this helps.
