Can someone tell me the steps to password protect a document I scan then want to email using HP Officejet 8710 on a MAC

Try these steps:
Scan the Document:
- Place your document on the scanner glass or use the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF).
- On the printer's control panel, select the scan option and choose your Mac as the scanning destination.
- Use either the HP Smart app or Image Capture on your Mac to initiate the scan.
Save the Document as PDF:
- Once the document is scanned, save it in PDF format using the scanning software.
Password Protect the PDF:
- Open the PDF using Preview on your Mac.
- Go to File > Export and choose PDF as the format.
- In the export options, select Encrypt and enter a password. Click Save.
Email the Document:
- Open your email client.
- Attach the password-protected PDF file.
- Send the email to your desired recipient.
